Youth Drop-In Service

The Migrant Resource Centre Southern Tasmania (MRC) Youth Settlements Team runs a youth drop-in service every Wednesday. 

The sessions are for 15-25 year olds from migrant, refugee and humanitarian entrant backgrounds who are eligible for MRC settlement services. 

Staff and volunteers at drop-in are able to provide:

  • Homework support (including math and science, up to college level)
  • Information and intake for the MRC driving program, incl. referrals for driving instruction
  • Building a resumé/job seeking/ job applications
  • Document/application support (School, Centrelink, ATO, Police/Courts, Healthcare, Tenancy, and more)
  • Social, Sport, and Recreational program registration and referral
  • External referral or intake for ongoing support, depending on area of need and context
